Guaraná (Paullinia cupana) is a native Amazon basis fruit. It has the size of a coffee bean, is brown to red on the outside and black and white on the inside.
Known for its stimulant and medicinal properties, Guaraná has been used for centuries by indigenous people of the Amazon.
Vitamins: Rich in caffeine: while regular coffee powder has ca. 7,59mg/g, guaraná has ca. 20,68mg/g. Therefore, it is a natural and powerful energetic, that may work as a pain-reliefer, natural aphrodisiac and stomach tonic;
When it comes to nutrients, Guaraná is rich in fibers, starch, tannic acid, calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium and vitamin A. Some of its main benefits includes: stimulation of cell renewal; Decreasement of the excess of glucose and cholesterol; Intestinal regulator; anti-inflammatory properties.
Since it is a rich source of caffeine, Guaraná may boost the metabolis.
Vastly used in energetic and soft drinks (around 70% of its production), being also used in energetic powder products, through directly consumption or in dilution in water, or as raw material for pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries (30% of its production).
